Report Crown Land Access Issues

Report Crown Land Access Issues

The Alberta Fish and Game Executive has been hearing concerns from members about access to Crown land and leased Crown land. We take these concerns very seriously as access to this land is fundamental for hunting. We have brought these concerns forward to the Ministry of Forestry and Parks and are currently in discussions with the Ministry on this topic.

We also have identified that there is a need to collect data on this issue so that we can better present our concerns with specifics to government officials. To collect this data we have launched a simple reporting form that you can fill out anytime access to Crown land is refused.

All data will be collated at the end of the season and we will share a summary report with the membership. Data will also be used to inform our government discussions on this topic moving forward.

Completing this form provides voluntary data to the AFGA to help us understand the issues out there and the frequency of occurrences.

Please remember that reporting your issues to the Government of Alberta is a separate task. This can be done by calling 310-LAND.

Information on access to Crown land and how to file a complaint with the government can be found here: mywildalberta.ca/hunting/land-access.aspx.
